Navistar to start building San Antonio plant on July 1
Heavy truck manufacturer Navistar International Corp. plans to start building its San Antonio plant on July 1, a hopeful sign for an economy that has shed thousands of jobs in the coronavirus-induced recession.
Work on the 1 million-sq.-ft. manufacturing complex — which will include an assembly plant, logistics facility, power plant and three other buildings — is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2021, according to a company filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
